The Indore–Dewas–Ujjain geography is the first Central India theatre to advance through the Vasundhara sieve. Official district and industrial evidence points toward a connected urban–industrial–agricultural system: exactly the kind of geography where a concentrated professional basin may serve distributed demand nodes.
COMMAND + TALENT CANDIDATE
Official district data records a population of 3.28 million, 676 villages, 312 gram panchayats and 9 urban local bodies. Indore's role as Madhya Pradesh's commercial capital makes it the strongest current candidate for a Central India coordination basin.
URBAN–RURAL BRIDGE
Dewas combines an industrial town with a 1.56 million-person district and an explicitly agriculture-based economy. Its proximity to Indore makes it strategically interesting as a demand and execution corridor rather than a standalone office market.
REGIONAL NODE
Official district information records a population of 1.99 million across 6,091 sq. km. Industrial investment and the Vikram Udyogpuri development add an additional economic layer to the wider Malwa network.
Government logistics planning explicitly treats Indore, Ujjain, Dewas, Dhar, Pithampur and neighbouring districts as a connected catchment. That is powerful evidence for researching this geography as a network.
Indore can concentrate design and coordination talent while project acquisition and execution are distributed across Malwa's smaller urban and prosperous rural nodes.

The evidence points away from treating “Gujarat” or “Maharashtra” as single launch markets. Gujarat presents dense industrial infrastructure and tightly connected urban corridors; Maharashtra presents much larger district geographies where agriculture, industry and new transport infrastructure overlap.
HIGH-POTENTIAL GUJARAT TEST CORRIDOR
Anand sits directly between Ahmedabad and Vadodara, with the district administration identifying rapid economic growth, the Anand–Vallabh Vidyanagar educational belt and a mixed farming-to-large-industry economy. The Ahmedabad–Vadodara highway itself crosses Ahmedabad, Kheda, Anand and Vadodara districts.
NETWORK ADVANTAGE
GIDC reports 239 industrial estates across Gujarat and continues to develop Special Investment Regions and sector-specific industrial infrastructure. This is a strong reason to investigate prosperous non-metro settlements around industrial nodes rather than focus only on major cities.
MAHARASHTRA'S STRONGEST FIRST TEST
Official district sources describe a roughly 6.1 million-person district with substantial agriculture, grape exports and industrial areas including Satpur, Ambad, Sinnar, Igatpuri, Dindori and Vinchur. Nashik therefore combines a large rural geography with industrial wealth and multiple smaller nodes.
The strongest opportunity may lie in connected middle geographies—Anand, Vallabh Vidyanagar and industrial/agricultural settlements—not simply Ahmedabad or Surat.
Nashik should be evaluated as a district network. Its agriculture and multiple industrial areas create several potential demand micro-markets.
New national-corridor planning continues to reinforce Nashik's strategic connectivity, including the approved Nashik–Solapur–Akkalkot corridor and proposed Pune–Nashik expressway-related connectivity.
